"Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves."
This world that we call, beautiful, extraordinary, magnificent, is this world that we call home a place where innocent children should be born and raised into? The economy is collapsing; animals are going extinct and about 500 species out of 8 million are already deceased because of our appalling influences. We are tearing down their territory piece by piece, urging them too abandon their homes, forcing them to scavenge for another tree or the part of the vast ocean we will eventually demolish and destroy without the creature’s consent. Before you ask why I truly believe that this undeveloped world is slowly dying, ask yourself, “why is it more simple to purchase fries than to go picking for fresh fruit such as blueberries or strawberries?” “Why is it more effortless to turn on your car than to run or jog or at least walk too your destination?” Think about this, there are eight planets in the solar system, an estimation of one-hundred billion stars in the galaxy, we live in a miniature blue dot, a dot that could cease into existence, a dot that could be consumed by time, planet earth. There is approximately 7.5 billion people breathing, walking, living on this “dot.” 250 babies are born each minute, 15,000 births per hour, and 360,000 per day! Split that in half, that would be roughly around 150,000 deaths per 24 hours. Which means we are heavily increasing in population, however we are gradually decreasing the amount of recourse’s that belong to planet earth and purloining them to ourselves. We are selfish pathetic human beings who deprive materials from natures beauty, all we do is claim, however in reality nothing from the smallest pebble to the largest rock belongs too us. Is it possible too divert the path we are taking the world into? Or is this mayhem we call “Earth” to corrupted for us too make a large impact?

Will Cole be able to go back to Miniapolis?
I believe that Cole could have a chance to change his ways and return back home, if he will continue the rules that Edwin gave him. When Cole first arrived to the island he had rage and bitterness building inside of him, he tried to swim away from the island but the tides effortlessly swept him back to shore! Until one day, Cole saw a bear, the "Spirit Bear" and decides to kill it, he fails and ends up breaking his hip and right arm. Cole finally realises how calm and peaceful the Spirit Bear is, and realises how helpless he is and decides that he needs to change his ways. After a couple of weeks of living on an island I believe that Cole is a different person and he would be able to go back to his home in Miniapolis with the help of Edwin and Garvey! |
